ETAPE LOCH NESS

The Etape Loch Ness will take place Sunday 24 April 2016. It is a closed road cycle sportive following a 360 degree 66-mile / 106-km route around Loch Ness starting and finishing in Inverness, attracting 4200 cyclists from across the UK.

The organisers have kept road closures to a minimum to ensure the safety of participants and other road users. Roads will be closed in both directions to create a safe traffic-free environment for the event.

THE GREAT EASTER EGG HUNT 2016

The Great Easter Egg Hunt will take place in Inverness City Centre Friday 25th and Saturday 26th March between 11 am and 4 pm. Enjoy free Family Fun hunting for the eggs hidden in the city centre shop windows. Entry forms and cryptic clues will be available at each entry point – Tolbooth Steeple (opposite the Town House) and Eastgate Centre (Falcon Square entrance).

BELLS OPEN DAY AT INVERNESS CATHEDRAL

Saturday 13 February 2016 between 10:30 and 16:00 the Cathedral Bell Tower will hold a ‘Bells Open Day’ when visitors could try their hand at bell ringing, in the tower or on a ‘Mini Ring’. Refreshments will be served and ringing information available.

The Annual Halloween Show in Inverness

The 2015 Halloween Show on Ness Islands will take place 30 and 31 October between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. The show features over 100 ghostly performers lying in wait around the illuminated beauty spot in the middle of the River Ness. This year’s show features the Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow and is unlike anything you have ever seen. The show is one of the highlights of the Inverness Festivals programme. With over 5000 spectators expected each night, it is the biggest Halloween Party staged in the North of Scotland.
